Artist StatementWhat comes to mind when someone says ‘winter’?...Mistletoe? Sweaters? Hot-chocolate? Lights? Well, whenever I think of winter, I think of snow, Christmas, and spending time with my family. When I was coming up with ideas for the winter art show, I thought ‘what could be better than making black and white dinner platters to serve food on for Christmas dinner’. My all white pieces remind me of snow, however, I added a touch of black in my other pieces to add simplicity and elegance. I hope you enjoy my work and have a wonderful Christmas!

PurposeThe purpose of this website is to document my ceramics journey, not only to see the progress I have made, but to teach those who have not taken a ceramics class a thing or two.

Hi! I'm Logan Brown & I am a sophomore at Trinity Episcopal School. This semester I am taking an elements of ceramics class with Mrs. Sanyour. I have never taken an actual ceramics class, but I have thrown on the wheel once. Outside of the ceramics studio I enjoy tennis, lacrosse, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
My Art GoalsThis semester I hope to...
1. Learn the fundamentals of ceramics 2. To create works of art that are unique and represent me 3. Think outside the box |
May your hands be full of clay and your hearts be full of imagination.
